There seems to be a strange controversy this year over what day is National French Fry Day.
Apparently, July 13th has been the day we celebrated National French Fry Day up to last year. That is when the fast-food chain Checkers petitioned the National Day Calendar website to make National French Fry Day the “Second Fry-Day in July.” The website has made that adjustment from this year.
However, it appears that everybody else is continuing with July 13th as the day.
The good news is we get two days to celebrate our love of this deliciousness back-to-back!
Most places have their “National French Fry Day” special running today…
McDonald’s is giving out free fries, any size, no purchase necessary. You just have to order through their app.
Burger King is giving out free fries too, also any size. You do have to buy something else, and it’s only through their app.
Wendy’s has the same deal as Burger King, but theirs runs through July 16th.
Heinz teamed up with Uber Eats on a deal. You can get $5.70 off certain orders that include fries. Uber Eats has a list of participating restaurants.
Smashburger has free fries with any purchase. That one doesn’t require you to order through their app.
Fatburger has free fries with any purchase through the 16th if you mention the promo. If you order online, use the code “FrenchFryDay23”.
White Castle has a buy-one-get-one coupon for a free small fry.
Krystal is giving out medium fries. You have to order through their app and use the code “OurFriesSlay”.
Checkers and its sister company Rally’s have a deal too. However, thanks to their “FRY-day” stunt, it starts tomorrow. Through the 16th, rewards members can get a free extra-large fry, no purchase necessary.
