The Voice is filming its latest season without the presence of Blake Shelton.
After appearing regularly on the reality television program since its beginning, Blake Shelton announced his retirement as a coach at the conclusion of Season 23. He had been the only coach up until this point to participate in the show each and every year.
Carson Daly, the show’s host, is feeling Shelton’s absence. He posted the selfie below from his hair and makeup chair on the first day of taping without the country coach present, mock-crying as he recalled a long-standing Shelton and The Voice custom.
Along with the picture was the message, “My first day ever shooting @nbcthevoice without @blakeshelton. We had a ritual of getting hair & makeup together for 23 seasons. I think I’m handling it well. Everything’s fine.”
Do you think The Voice is going to do well without Blake Shelton on it?
