In a one-week period two Central Illinois small towns came up BIG for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!

Saturday, April 1st was the annual St. Jude Feed and Auction at the Sit N Bull in Hudson, IL. This event includes an all you can eat and drink buffet, silent auction, live auction and raffles. The last amount reported to me from the event for funds raised was over $65,000.

The following Saturday, April 8th was the second annual Wild Game Feast held at the Sons of the American Legion in Heyworth, IL. This event included some unique culinary aspects, auction and raffles. This event raised over $40,000 this year.

That is over $100,000 raised in a one-week time frame for St. Jude by two small towns right here in Central Illinois!

I have to say this is one of the things that I love about this area. We come together when needed. We support the causes that are doing important work in our community, in the United States and around the world.

THANK YOU to everybody who helped make these to events a huge success! Because of you a lot of money has gone to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so they can continue in their mission of “Finding cures. Saving children. ®
