Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. While Justin Moore has been married to his wife Kate for 15 years, he remembers when the two first met.

Kate was still in college in Louisiana, and he was working a full-time day job while trying to get his music career off the ground in Nashville. The two dated long distance for a couple of years, and there was nothing extravagant about their early dates.

“Neither one of us had a pot to pee in. So, I mean, goin’ out to a nice dinner then was Chili’s. Not that there’s anything wrong with Chili’s, but you know, that was a big deal back then. It wasn’t as though we were going out to five-star restaurants and havin’ $60 steaks and a $20 baked potato à la cart, and that kind of stuff, you know.”
