In addition to his debut single, “How It Oughta Be,” Shane Profitt has been sharing some new songs. He has also shared different versions of songs off his Maury County Line debut sampler.

That includes the acoustic version of “Better Off Fishin’,” which he recently released. As Shane explains it, “Better Off Fishin;’” is a song for anyone who’s tired of being nagged all the time.

“‘Better Off Fishin’ is kind of a heartbreak, but also kind of a screw you song. I was datin’ this girl, and she was complainin’ that I was always gone on the lake fishin’, and I was just kind of being a smart aleck and I told her, ‘Well, I’m just better off fishin’ than comin’ home.”
