Last Monday (1/9) a lot of the country (and a lot of country music stars like Georgia natives Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Charles Kelley & Dave Haywood from Lady A, etc.) watched the Georgia Bulldogs destroy the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7 in the College Football National Championship game.

However, Carly Pearce admits she’s not really a huge watcher of sports, other than one sport at the University of Kentucky.

“I’m a UK fan. I love everything to do with the Kentucky Wildcats basketball. But I grew up with a father that’s very into sports and was very athletic. We like to watch, races and running, ’cause we both run, and things like that. But I’m not very athletic other than running, so I’ve never really gotten that super into it, other than UK basketball.”

Carly is starting 2023 with her latest single, “What He Didn’t Do” in the top 15 on the charts. She’ll get to play a show at her favorite place, the Grand Ole Opry, which is currently in the midst of its winter run at The Ryman, this Friday night (1/13).
