Thomas Rhett is hoping to have another #1 song to celebrate by Thanksgiving, with “Half of Me” featuring Riley Green, on the verge of topping the charts. And when he sits down with his family to celebrate all the blessings in his life, there is one item Thomas won’t be putting on his plate, and he’s not even sure why it exists.

“I think my least favorite Thanksgiving dish is like, the cranberry spread. I’ve never understood that, why that is a part of Thanksgiving tradition. I need to probably go back into the history books to understand why, but that is one item that I skip over every time.”

We suspect Thomas won’t find much about canned gelatinous cranberry sauce in the history books, but somehow it has become a staple on millions of Thanksgiving tables.
