A recent study found that swearing can be helpful in many different ways in modern life.
It helps us in dealing with negative things like pain, anger and frustration. It also helps with positive things like joy, connecting with each other and can even make us laugh.
The study also found that swearing can swearing can make you seem more honest and convincing.
If we didn’t swear, the study seems to indicate that we might get into more physical altercations as a society in the streets. Researchers found that the most common reason for people to swear is when angered or frustrated. Swearing helps release and control those feelings. That includes using it to “cope with feelings of anger in stressful road situations.”
The study found that swearing is not considered as vulgar as it once was. It is no longer a sign that you are uneducated or have a poor vocabulary.
However, researchers caution that you should still be careful who you sear around. The context of the situation can still make it offensive and inappropriate at many times.
I hope my neighbors understand when they hear me yell “Holy S#!@” after winning the $1.5 Billion Powerball drawing tomorrow night.
