Last night the Battle Rounds continued on Season 22 of The Voice. Blake Shelton went head-to-head with his wife Gwen Stefani to steal one of her artists!
Gwen paired Cara Brindisi with Jay Allen for a Battle Rounds performance. She had them sing Don Henley and Stevie Nicks’ duet version “Leather and Lace.” Both artists did a really good job. Gwen chose Cara as the winner. As Jay was walking out Gwen hit her “Save” button for him. While Gwen was explaining why she wanted to save him, Blake decided to hit his button to “Steal” him. The interactions that followed were quite entertaining to watch as you can do below.
Jay decided to join Team Blake with Blake Shelton as his coach moving forward.
Blake paired Jaden Luke with Bodie for their Battle Round performance. He gave them the Justin Bieber song “As Long As You Love Me.” The two artists really put their own touch on it to create something completely different from the original version.
Blake chose Bodie to remain on Team Blake for the Knockout Rounds.
Jaden Luke gets to remain as Camila not only continued to flirt with him as they did in the Blind Auditions, she also used her “Steal” on him.
You can see what artists are on which teams at the official website of The Voice here.
The Battle Rounds continue on The Voice Season 22 tonight at 7 p.m. central time (8 p.m. eastern time) on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.
