HBO Max has dropped the first look at the return of Ralphie! Peter Billingsley returns as Ralphie in the upcoming A Christmas Story Christmas, the sequel to the classic holiday movie A Christmas Story.

It’s a brief teaser, but we do get a look at the living room, an exact replica of the way it appeared in the 1983 movie, and it ends with Ralphie as an adult slipping on his signature plastic-rimmed glasses.

In the sequel, now 40 years later, an adult Ralphie returns to the house on Cleveland Street to deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up. He reconnects with childhood friends and reconciles the passing of his father. It also features the return of Ralphie’s younger brother Randy, and a few others like the triple dog-dare kid, and it wouldn’t be complete without Ralphie’s bully, Scut.

Fun fact: the original A Christmas Story, spawned two movie sequels, 1994’s It Runs in the Family and 2012’s A Christmas Story 2, which went direct-to-video.

All I want to know is, will Ralphie’s kids beg for a BB gun, and will he say “You’ll shoot your eye out!”
