The Chicago Police Department confirmed that shots fired near the filming of the show Chicago Fire halted production Wednesday (9/14).

Fox News reports that around 1:45pm authorities responded when an “unknown offender, armed with a handgun shot at a group of people standing in the 5900 block of W. Madison Street.”

That is near the area where the show was filming in Oak Park. No report of which of the show’s stars were on the set when the incident occurred.

Nobody was injured by the shooter who fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident.
