Wallethub.com has an annual study that ranks all 50 states in the USA based on 10 key indicators like employment rates, hours worked, average commute, and how much free time people have in general.
The top ten hardest-working states according to the study are:
- North Dakota
- Alaska
- Nebraska
- South Dakota
- Texas
- Virginia
- Oklahoma
- Kansas
- New Hampshire
- Wyoming

Illinois did not even make the top 25! The land of Lincoln came in at #39 on the list. It has to be all the people up around Chicago pulling us down. I know the farmers and the rest of us “down state” work our butts off!
