Some call it a mullet, some call it a Kentucky Waterfall or a Tennessee Top Hat…the votes are in and America has chosen its winner of the most glorious mullets of 2022.
Almost 700 contestants entered the USA Mullet Championships, which boiled down to the top 25 of the nation’s finest mullets, and then one champion was announced this weekend in the kids division, and teen division…both from Wisconsin, so apparently Wisconsin is not know for cheese and mullets.
Emmitt Bailey, an 8-year-old from Menomonie, Wisconsin, was announced Sunday as the winner in the kids’ division for the USA Mullet Championships. Bailey, who got 9,896 votes, will be taking home a cold $2,500 in cash.
The winner of the teen mullet division was also announced, Cayden Kershaw from Wausau, Wisconsin, took home the top prize for the teen’s division with 3,215 votes.
Here is some more on Emmitt before he was crown the 2022 champ in the kids division.
Here is the good news…if your nickname is Joe Dirt, and you’ve got a good amount of business in front and party in the back, you’ve still got a chance because registration for the open mullet division is still open until August 31!

There’s one man that knows a good mullet…David Spade, who played Joe Dirt, and he gave his stamp of approval with commentary on his TikTok page of some of the finalists.
