Don’t sleep on this new country girl group, Chapel Hart, because not only did they win over the AGT judges, but they already have fans in Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Darius Rucker!
On Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent, sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin Trea Swindle of Chapel Hart auditioned and wowed judges with a performance of their original song “You Can Have Him Jolene,” a modernized take on Dolly Parton‘s classic, “Jolene.”
Ahead of their audition, the group members spoke about their love for “Jolene” and how their song came together. “We just loved the storyline, and we figured, though, from 1973 to 2022 we cannot be fighting over the same man,” said Danica. “So we decided to tell her, ‘You can just have him, Jolene.'”
And guess what?! It’s Dolly approved!
Not only did Chapel Hart win over the AGT judges, but the queen of country music herself, Dolly Parton LOVES them!
Loretta Lynn also shared her praise for the ladies!
AND the ladies are already lined up to be on Darius Rucker‘s next album.
Before their AGT audition, the girls recorded a song with Darius and recently got the good news that it’s making it onto his latest album!
