This Sunday the NASCAR Cup Series will race the Inaugural Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR).
WWTR is located in Madison, Illinois. That is just across the river from St. Louis. You can see the city skyline from the track. However, the drivers will not have the time to take that sight in during the race.
Since this is the first time the NASCAR Cup Series has raced at WWTR, there really are no notes for the drivers and teams to use. The lower-level series in NASCAR have raced at the track. That can give them a direction to go. However, since the Cup Series cars are more powerful, they cannot rely on those notes 100%.
Here is what the teams know they will be dealing with for sure.

With the new car this season on a new track for the Cup Series, this weekend could turn out to be a very eventful race.
We will see what happens when the green flag waives to start the Inaugural Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter at World Wide Technology Raceway Sunday, June 5th at 2:30 p.m. central time (3:30 p.m. eastern time).
