Lauren Alaina has confirmed that she is no longer signed to her longtime record label Universal Music Group (UMG).

Lauren signed with the label back in 2011 after being named runner-up on season 10 of ‘American Idol.’

“I have made the tough decision to spread my wings and close a very important chapter of my life. There are more exciting things happening in my career right now than ever before, and I just can’t wait to see where it all leads. Much more to share soon.”

Lauren is currently competing in a new reality series called ‘Beyond The Edge’ which airs on CBS.
