Sam Hunt is approaching the top of the charts with his latest single “23”. Sam shares what the inspiration for the song was.

“The general concept was sorta you can’t make new old friends, you’re never gonna be exactly who you were at that point in your life, you experience that version of the other person as well. So, you’re not gonna be able to experience that again with anybody else in the future. You can appreciate that a little bit, once it comes and goes.”

“23” sits at number two this week on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart. We will see if it can gain the last place to be Sam’s latest number one song next week.
