Singer/songwriter Cody Johnson shares that when he writes songs he likes to use old school technology.
“I’ve tried to write songs on a computer, and type. And it’s, like, it’s just so frustrating, I wind up with a pen and paper. You know I like being able to erase, and scratch out, and later look back at the page and you can see how the song was written. It’s just too nice and neat on the computer for me. I like to look back and see the scribbled-out lines, then re-wrote lines, then wound up back at the same line, it’s pretty cool.”
There’s a pretty good chance Cody could start out next week with his song “‘Til You Can’t” reaching the number one spot of the country charts.
Between now and then he will be playing two sold-out shows. Tonight (3/18) he will be in Coralville, Iowa. Tomorrow night (3/19) he will play in St. Louis, Missouri.
