Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are real life husband and wife, but they also play husband and wife on TV’s new hit show 1883. After 25 years of marriage (IRL) how do they keep the fire alive? Apparently by bringing home props from the set of 1883.

Faith and Tim were both guests on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this discussing how they separate their work life from home life.

When Faith sat down with Stephen, she shared a secrect…“Here’s what we decided. We’re together all the time. Literally, all the time,” she confessed. “And we decided that we would never work lines together. We would never…”

Faith went onto explain how she wants their scenes to be spontaneous and in the moment.

Stephen asked her, “You never slip into James and Margaret when you’re at home for just a minute?” to which Faith replied, “he does,” while laughing hysterically. 

So, when Tim sat down with Stephen the following night, of course the topic got brought up, and you will never guess what Tim had to say!

“I only brought my chaps home…a few times.”
