It was a Walker Hayes Concert at the Chiefs Bengals game this weekend, and Walker’s performance took over the show…literally, because it was so loud!

Walker performed his biggest hit “Fancy Like” and a medley of other songs at the Chiefs-Bengals halftime show at Kansas City, Missouri’s Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. As soon as he hit the stage the sound went crazy, and the opening bars of “Fancy Like” could be heard clearly, drowning out commentary from the broadcasters. But it didn’t get fixed, because the entire halftime show was drowned out by Walker. He continued to perform (probably not realizing there was an issue) and the broadcasters kept going even though it was clear the viewers couldn’t hear a word they were saying.

While the performance was not televised, fans watching at home still got to experience some of the audio from the show as it drowned out the announcers recapping the first half highlights of Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.

After showing up with his whole family – decked out in KC gear, Walker shared “Unreal experience playing halftime today…big shout out to the Chiefs for having us.”

One of the broadcasters, James Brown, was quick to think and started trying sign-language, while Nate Burleson joked “It’s a party here in KC, baby!”
