A Quantum Leap reboot has been given a pilot order by NBC.

The original series ran on NBC for five seasons and came to an end in 1993.

Deadline reports that the new series will be set 30 days after Sam disappeared and now a new team has taken up the Quantum Leap project.

There are talks that original series star Scott Bakula may join the cast, but nothing is set in stone.
