Who should shovel the snow? That is the question.
Job Reyes, a politician from Canada, thought he was innocently praising his wife for shoveling the driveway, but not surprisingly, the internet had something to say.
Jon is facing heat after he shared a photo of his wife, Cynthia, a registered nurse, shoveling snow off their driveway when she came home after working a 12 hour shift.
“Even after a 12 hour night shift at the hospital last night, my wife still has the energy to shovel the driveway,” the Manitoba cabinet minister tweeted. “God bless her and all our frontliners. Time to make her some breakfast.”
Although he may have meant well, the internet IMMEDIATELY started to roast him and everyone had something to say.
I don’t know what’s worse.

Her having to do this with you inside.
Her having to do this after a 12 hr shift
Her doing this while you watch.
Her doing this while you cook eggs over easy
I think you taking a pic and posting all of the above is worst. Yea. That takes the cake
Having done nights I can guarantee after a 12 hr night shift she does not have the energy to shovel the driveway. She is doing it because it has not been done.

Wait, what? Your wife worked for 12 hours and had to come home and shovel while you watched and took photos from your house?

Why didn't YOU do it? And if you legitimately cannot for some reason, why don't you pay someone to do it for you so she can come home to a clean driveway and go straight to bed? What is wrong with you?

Some were even funny about it.

It wasn’t all bad. Some even stuck up for him.
As a wife who virtually always shoveled snow. Maybe she enjoys doing it. Maybe she wants to burn off a bad shift. Maybe they take turns.

Mostly, it's not our business why. I think it's fabulous that he's showing that he appreciates her and is making breakfast. Real men do that.
Whoa! Whoa! People. Relax!! We have no clue what is going on behind the scenes here. This man is actually appreciating his amazing wife and showing it to the world. Do any of you actually know if he didn’t then go out and take over?

After his tweet went viral, his wife posted on Facebook to provide some context and explain that it was HER choice to be out shoveling snow after a long day at work.
“I just wanted to shovel! 🤦🏻♀️,” she said. “What people should know is that I came home from a 12 hour night shift at the hospital, it was a good night which lately as you can imagine hasn’t always been the case for myself and my nursing colleagues.
“As I drove home, it’s my time to decompress, I arrived home before anyone was awake, after all, it was a Saturday morning. As I pulled up to my driveway, I felt energy to shovel the snow that fell all night and into the morning…it’s refreshing after having worn an N95 mask almost the entire night, the weather was mild and it was quiet and peaceful.”
Haven’t we learned our lesson? The internet will ALWAYS give you their opinion on things, wanted or not.
Who shovels the snow at YOUR house?
