Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is officially the champion of the People, and he’s got the award to prove it!

At last night’s People’s Choice Awards he was honored with the People’s Champion Award. After thanking the fans, he then turned around and gave the award away!

Earlier that evening, Dwayne had met a Make A Wish recipient, Shushana, and he surprised her by inviting her on stage and giving her the award!

“I met her earlier. I told her how proud I was of her story,” he said. “She is a fighter, she has inspired her family and friends. I want to tell you just how much you’ve inspired me and everyone around you and certainly everyone here. I want to give you this because you represent everything that it means to be a People’s Champion — so this is for you.”

Before Dwayne left the stage, he shared words he said he first heard from Muhammed Ali. “Service to others is the rent you pay for the room you have here on earth.” Then, for good measure, he added, “It’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.”
