The ‘Home Alone’ House is Available to Rent For One Night Only

It’s the ultimate Christmas sleepover: You can now rent the real-life Home Alone house on Airbnb (booby traps included.)

For one night only, you can rent the Home Alone house on Airbnb. And the good news is we don’t have to travel far, because the famous house from the Christmas classis is located at 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois. It’s about 2 1/2 hours away, just outside of Chicago, perfect for a weekend getaway to the city. (Link to directions from Bloomington. And check it out on Google Earth here.

In celebration of the upcoming release of “Home Sweet Home Alone,” Buzz McCallister is hosting a super rare overnight stay at the family’s Chicago home, while the McCallisters are once again away for the holidays.

A one-night stay in the Winnetka, Illinois home is being auctioned off on Airbnb December 7th, with bids starting at $25. In addition to getting to stay in the house on December 12th, the winning bidder will be provided with booby traps to set, aftershave and “mirrors to scream in,” macaroni and cheese “to enjoy by candlelight” and a copy of the franchise’s latest film, “Home Sweet Home Alone,” according to the listing.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
