We’ve always known Paul Rudd was sexy, but now he’s People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2021!
The announcement was made last night on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
People magazine then confirmed the news on Instagram with a first look at the cover.
For the last week it was rumored that Chris Evans would get the title this year. Truthfully, I would have been happy with that announcement as well, BUT I am ecstatic that my love of Paul Rudd since I was first introduced to him in Clueless as Cher’s ex step brother Josh in 1995 is shared by the rest of the world.
Before Stephen announced the big news officially, he teased other famous names who might be in the running.
“There has been rampant speculation in the sexiness markets. On Thursday, the New York Post reported that the title would go to Chris Evans. Simultaneously, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson claimed it was his, saying he is always going to be the sexiest man alive,” Colbert shared. “Which, of course, raises the question: Will these two have to fight for the title? And, if so, will they get all sweaty and kind of wrestle? That might be sexy.”
Then he brought out Paul Rudd, but under the assumption that he was just there promoting his new film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and then Paul participated in a sketch about having his sexiness levels tested scientifically.
