The Knockout Rounds began last night (10/25) on season 21 of The Voice. Who did Blake Shelton decide to keep on Team Blake moving to the Live Playoffs?
The Knockout Rounds always seem to be the hardest choices the coaches have to make. They have already cut their teams in half and now have to narrow them down even more. I can say that most of the time in this round I am truly glad to not have to make the decisions the coaches have to.
Blake’s first pairing of the night was Jonathan Mouton and Wendy Moten. Johnathan (whom Blake stole from Team Legend on the last night of the Battle Rounds) chose to sing Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now.” Wendy was an artist who turned all four chairs on the first night of the Blind Auditions. She made a somewhat surprising choice of Blake as her coach. Wendy sang “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin. Both did a great job. However, there was just something more about Wendy’s performance in my opinion.
Blake decided to keep Wendy on Team Blake for the Live playoffs ending Jonathan’s time on The Voice.
Blake’s second pairing for the night was Hailey Green and Libianca. Hailey Green returned after not getting a chair to turn in the Blind Auditions for season 19. The 15-year-old got Blake to press his button this time around and also was the winner in her Battle Round performance. She chose to sing Blake’s song “God’s Country” for her Knockout Round performance. Libianca was another surprise in the Battle Rounds that chose Blake as her coach over Ariana Grande. Libianca picked Billie Eilish’s “Everything I Wanted” for her performance. Both singers did a great job on their songs. There is just something special about Libianca it seems.
Blake must agree about that something special. He chose to keep Libianca on Team Blake for the Live Playoffs.

The Knockout Rounds continue tonight (10/26) on The Voice Season 21 on NBC.
