Elvie Shane shares the origin of his song “My Boy” and it reveals it really is about his boy.
“‘My Boy’ is a song about my son and our relationship. It was inspired by a social media post that said ‘I don’t have a stepson, I have a son that was born before I met him’ … and man, that really resonated with me. You know, it’s about love, it’s about family and it’s about how sometimes blood is thicker than water, but love’s thicker than blood.”
The song is in the Top Five and climbing on the country radio airplay singles charts. It is from the forthcoming new album Backslider. The album will be released October 29th exclusively for digital download/streaming. It will be released as a CD on January 14, 2022.
