Zac Brown of The Zac Brown Band seems to think he is a “merman”.
The band will be releasing their new album titled The Comeback October 15th. The album cover features Zac in the river where he grew up near Lake Lanier in Georgia. Zac admits there is something he is connected with being in the water or on his boat. That is part of why he says he is a merman.
“I actually have a spot right here on the side of my head … You see right there … That’s actually where my gill, when I was an embryo, we have gills that close up. The cells start clumping up together and they become our ears, right? Well, mine never closed up on this side so, that’s a true story. I think I am a merman, yes, I’m a couple hundred years away from it, I think.”
The band’s debut single from the new album is “Same Boat.” Listen for the song on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
