Have you heard of the Venmo Challenge?
TikTok’er Lexy Burke is helping surprise people with huge tips thanks to donations made through the Venmo Challenge, and Chris Young recently joined her for a surprise in Nashville!
It’s been a rough year for many of us due to the pandemic, and musicians and anyone in the music industry have taken a huge hit.
For many artists they have lost their livelihood because touring basically stopped for the last year and a half, and while things are starting to move forward in that respect, the opportunities for musicians to play live and get paid for it are still very slim.
Thanks to TikTok user Lexy Burke and Chris Young, life just got a little easier for two Nashville musicians as they were surprised with a big tip.
I’ve got to talk about Lexy (@lexylately) for a minute because she is doing good things. She uses her 1.6 million followers for some to help make the world a better place one big tip at a time. While most people are posting life hacks on TikTok, Lexi is asking her followers for spare change. You can Venmo her any amount you would like and she uses the money to help surprise people with seriously large tips!
She has surprised restaurant workers, health care workers, uber drivers, and musicians with $1000 tips and she has been doing in since May 2020.
Well Chris Young recently joined Lexy a few weeks ago for one of her do-good adventures and they tossed $2,000 in the tip jar for two musicians playing in downtown Nashville.
“I’ve been blessed so much in my career,” Young shares at the start of the video. “We’re going to go find somebody playing some music and bless them today.”
@chrisyoungmusicLoved that @lexylately has been paying it forward. Had to join her for one of these! ##famousfriends ##venmochallenge
