Lainey Wilson is a 29-year-old singer from Baskin, Louisiana whose career seems to be picking up speed.

Her song “Things a Man Oughta Know” is on the cusp of being a number one song at #3 on the Billboard chart and #2 on the Country Aircheck chart for this week. The song is from her debut album Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ that was released in February of this year.

Lainey is getting amazing opportunities like opening for her friend Ashley McBryde this past weekend at the Ryman in Nashville. Lainey shares that her life and career have become quite a ride as of late after spending many years chasing her Music City dreams.

“Man, I tell you what, it’s been a whirlwind … but just so much fun. It feels like things are finally starting to come to fruition and thank God for it … it’s awesome. I will tell you, I mean just so many wonderful opportunities have been coming my way lately that it’s like all right … like you just do it, put your blinders on, keep your head down and keep doing the dang thing … and yeah that’s the kind of mentality right now is just hold on girl.”

That whirlwind will keep spinning for Lainey as she is on some of the Jason Aldean “Back In The Saddle Tour” stops. She is on the bill for the tour date just down the road in Peoria, Illinois scheduled for October 7th.
