Sunday Night Football is coming back and so is Carrie Underwood as she goes into her 9th year as the official show opening entertainer.

Underwood shared on her Instagram that “We’ve got some pretty awesome technology for this one and I can’t wait for you all to see it on September 12”.

Sources say that her performance of the intro was used with the same technology as Disney’s “The Mandalorian”.

Sunday Night Football returns to NBC on September 12 with the matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams.
