Dierks Bentley is going to join Blake Shelton on season 21 of The Voice as the Team Blake Battle Rounds advisor. During an Access Hollywood interview, Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley discussed several things including their friendship.

Blake responded to if he and Bentley are friends by saying, “Friendship? I wouldn’t call it that.” To which Dierks responded, “Are we finally starting it now? We might be starting it right now. We’ll see if he gives me his phone number. I wasn’t invited to the wedding, so I wouldn’t call it a friendship.”

Blake and Gwen Stefani got married in a small intimate private ceremony last July. Blake has likely had to deal with awkward encounters with many friends who have confronted him on why they were not invited. Blake said, “Listen, we kept it small, get over it. It’s not about you. There’s a lot of them.”
