Scotty McCreery jumped at the chance to record and perform the song, “Damn Strait” which pays homage to his favorite artist, George Strait.

“It’s such a cool song, cleverly written and obviously I’m a massive George Strait fan, and so it just sounded so much like me,” the American Idol winner told EverythingNash.

McCreery has been performing the song at various festivals and he will include it on his new album, Same Truck, due out September 17th.
