Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Gladys Knight, and more will pay tribute to the late great Charley Pride in an upcoming CMT special.
The special will feature a ton of performances, rare footage, and interviews to celebrate the life and work of Charley Pride.
Pride passed away last year due to Covid, but his legacy will not go unnoticed.
Charley Pride has had over 52 Top country hits over many decades, and he is country music’s first Black Superstar.
His wife said in a statement, “I am delighted to have so many giants in the business celebrate the legacy of Pride. He would have been so happy to see the artists give so generously of their time and talent honoring him. This truly is a testament to the impact that he had on the country music community for so many years.”
“CMT Giants: Charley Pride” will be out on August 25.
