The lovely Trisha Yearwood stopped by The Kelly Clarkson show to talk her recent battle with COVID, why Garth Brooks could be an alien, but also wins Husband of the Year.

As you know, Trisha Yearwood had a recent struggle with COVID-19, and like many, she lost her sense of taste and smell. 8 weeks later, and she still can’t smell or taste anything unless it’s got some hot sauce on it.

Now, for Trisha this is a big problem because she lives for cooking as much as she does for her music. So, now she actually has to ask Garth if her latest creation in the kitchen needs more salt and pepper because she can’t taste it at all.

Trisha said Garth was such a huge help to her during her battle with COVID, never leaving her side once, even though she told him a million times to get away from her (lovingly) so he would catch it! Garth of course refused and told her they were in this together.

Surprisingly, Garth never caught the virus himself, even with close contact to Trisha the entire time she dealt with the awful virus, which is why she is pretty sure he is an alien.
