Were you one of the half billion people whose data was breached on Facebook this weekend?
I was.
All 533,000,000 Facebook records were just leaked for free.
This means that if you have a Facebook account, it is extremely likely the phone number used for the account was leaked.
I have yet to see Facebook acknowledging this absolute negligence of your data. https://t.co/ysGCPZm5U3 pic.twitter.com/nM0Fu4GDY8

The information that was breached includes sensitive personal data like: Phone number, Facebook ID, Full name, Location, Past Location, Birthdate, Email Address, Account Creation Date, Relationship Status, Bio and more.
Watch for phishing schemes or fraud using your data.
If you’re worried that your account may have been one of the 533 million breached, you can check this website: haveibeenpwned.com.
I checked 2 email addresses and my phone number and it said I had been breached 13 times.
The website is run by a third-party that will only check to see if your email was in the data that was stolen.
This isn’t the first time Facebook data has been breached, and it probably won’t be the last. Is this the price you pay for using social media?
