Justin Moore can’t wait to get back to playing shows, including fairs and festivals, which are always special, because he says, “For us it’s like a family reunion. Cause artists, other than the one or two that you’re touring with at any given time, you don’t see each other. And a lot of us are buddies, really good friends.”
Anytime Justin gets booked on a festival show, he’s always eager to see who else will be playing the same day he is because he says, “On these festivals you’ve got five, six, seven people on ‘em, and so you get to hang out and catch up with each other.”
The other thing Justin loves about playing on festival shows is that it sometimes gives him a chance to be a fan and check out a show. “You get the opportunity to see some of your heroes. I remember we played at a festival and Mark Chesnutt played earlier than us in the day. So, I went out and watched, singing every song at the top of my lungs. So, that’s kind of a cool aspect too, when you get to go play with some of your heroes.”
Checking out Justin’s touring schedule, it looks like he already has a few festivals lined up this summer, which means he’ll get a chance to catch up with some of his buddies he hasn’t seen in over a year or longer because of the pandemic.
