Happy Birthday Luke Combs! This birthday is sure to be a little sweeter … it’s nice to celebrate turning a year older (31) with a bunch of ACM nominations in your back pocket. Luke is up for three ACM Awards including Entertainer of the Year.

When he moved to Nashville, Luke made the trek from North Carolina to Music City in a Dodge Neon — which he eventually sold to a friend’s dad. So, maybe you’d think a nice surprise for Luke would be to track down that car and give it back to him … let’s just say that wouldn’t be a good plan.

“I sold the Neon to a friend whose dad needed a car. I sold it to him for a thousand bucks. I’m glad I did, cause his dad didn’t have a vehicle and really needed one. Everyone’s like, ‘Man I bet you wish you kept that thing,’ I mean not really. I kind of hated that car to be honest with you. Everyone said I looked like Donkey Kong in Mario Kart driving that thing around.”

Apparently that is the reason Luke did not include a line about himself and that car in his latest #1 single “Better Together.” Listen for that song as well as Luke’s other nine chart topping singles on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
