If you didn’t know Amanda Gorman’s name before yesterday, you probably do now.

Amanda Gorman is only 22 years old and just became the youngest poet to recite in any Presidential Inaugural ceremony.

Her words were beautiful and confident and she captivated millions of people with her voice, and in that one single moment we all listened and were brought together as she recited “The Hill We Climb.”

What you couldn’t tell from her poem is that Amanda struggled with a speech impediment for most of her life.

Amanda has written poems for many historic occasions, and now she has made history herself.
