Season 19 of The Voice came to an end with the season finale tonight (12/15) revealing the winner.
Blake Shelton began season 19 as the defending winning coach after scoring his seventh win in season 18.
Kelly Clarkson was working toward scoring her fourth win as a coach on the show.
John Legend had just a single win as a coach when this season began.
Gwen Stefani made her fifth appearance as a coach in season 19. However, she had not yet scored a win.
As always on the finale of The Voice, the episode was a two-hour show packed full of performances from the coaches with their finalists and special guest artists. Some of the guest artist included country stars Dan + Shay, Keith Urban featuring Pink and Nelly featuring Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard. Below are a few of the performance videos from the show.

Eventually it was time to reveal the winner of season 19 of The Voice. Carson Daly first revealed John Holiday from Team Legend as the fifth place artist. Next he revealed fourth place going to Team Kelly’s DeSz. Fourth place went to Ian Flanigan of Team Blake.
That left the final two spots with Jim Ranger of Team Blake and Carter Rubin of Team Gwen remaining. Would it be Blake again being the winning coach or would his fiancé Gwen get her first win?
The 15-year-old Carter Rubin brought Gwen her first win as a coach on The Voice with Jim Ranger and Blake taking home the runner-up finish.
Gwen will not return for the next season to defend her win. It had already been revealed earlier this season that Blake, Kelly and John will return for season 20 of the show. However, Nick Jonas will return for his second season as a coach.
Congratulations to Carter Rubin and his coach Gwen Stefani on winning season 19 of The Voice.
