Tis the season for Christmas movies and holiday specials, and this year, Carrie Underwood is stepping up to the plate with HBO Max!

Following in the footsteps of Dolly Parton and Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood will be releasing her own holiday special “My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood” this Thursday, December 3rd on HBO Max and it’s all tied to her first full length Christmas album which she released this fall.

HBO Max debuted the trailer for Carrie Underwood’s new holiday special where we see her perform a combination of beloved traditional favorites, as well as new material as well. Looks like Carrie is accompanied by her band, as well as a live orchestra and choir, and John Legend will also make an appearance for their duet “Hallelujah.”

But that’s not the appearance we are most excited about, Carrie has a bonus for fans, a behind the scenes peek at the recording of “Little Drummer Boy” with her 5 year old son Isaiah!
