Niko Moon is becoming more well-known in the country music world thanks to his debut single “Good Time.” However, he’s not really new to country music.
Niko is a singer-songwriter that has also been a producer with the Zac Brown Band. He co-wrote the #1 songs “Loving You Easy,” “Homegrown,” “Beautiful Drug” and “Keep Me In Mind.” He also co-wrote the song “Heavy Is The Head” which topped the rock charts. Niko was also a co-writer on the Rascal Flatts song “Back To Life.” He was a co-producer on the Zac Brown Band albums Jeckyl and Hyde and Welcome Home.
Niko was born in Tyler, Texas, but moved to Douglasville, Georgia when he was 10 years old. His father was a touring drummer that became a truck driver when Niko was born to support his family. Niko’s mom was a waitress. The parents introduced Niko to the music of John Prine and Patty Griffin early in life. Niko’s musical life began as drummer like his father. He then learned how to play guitar.
In 2016 Niko became a part of the group Sir Rosevelt with Zac Brown and Ben Simonetti, another co-writer with the Zac Brown Band.
Last year (2019) Sony Music Nashville/RCA Nashville signed Niko to a recording contract. He is married to fellow singer-songwriter Anna Moon.
Niko’s debut single “Good Time” is at #19 on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart this week and #16 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart. It is also the title track of his debut EP available everywhere now.
