Last night (11/2) was the final night of the Blind Auditions for season 19 of The Voice. Who did Blake Shelton add to Team Blake?
John Sullivan put his voice to work on a soft and intimate version of Jim Croce’s iconic song “Operator (That’s Not The Way It Feels).” His perfect pitch motivated Blake to press his button and shortly after Gwen Stefani turned as well. After a couple of pretty good pitches from both coaches John chose to join Team Blake.
Tara and two of her daughters, Mia and Jaycee, form the trio called Worth the Wait. The family group chose to sing “When Will I Be Loved” by Linda Ronstadt. Mia begins the performance by herself which earned a button push by Gwen. Her face shows her thoughts when she saw three people instead of just one on the stage. The other three coaches nearly simultaneously pressed their buttons when the other two joined in with the harmonies. Gwen and Blake went the hardest in their pitches to the trio. In fact, Gwen used a video from Blake’s friend and tour mate Trace Adkins to try to help her cause. The video below was posted last Friday (10/30) as a sneak peek to tonight’s episode. It does not show that In the end the mom and daughters decided to chose Blake as their coach.
All of the teams are filled with 10 artists each. You can find out which artists joined the other teams at the official YouTube channel of The Voice here.
Next week the Battle Rounds begin. Blake will be getting help from Kane Brown as advisor for Team Blake. The battles begin Monday November 9th at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
