WHAT?! This really proves that anyone can get COVID-19, and anyone can be affected by Coronavirus.
The Rock took to social media to let fans know that he and his wife, along with their 4 and 2 year old daughters all tested positive for COVID and have been battling the virus for the last three weeks.
We always think of The Rock as being so strong and healthy, and almost untouchable, in fact I joke that he can save us from just about anything since we’ve seen him do it in the movies. Now, that is in fact just a joke, but it is still shocking to know that someone as health conscious and disciplined as The Rock caught it so easily.
He described it as “a kick in the gut” and said that he’s gone through some doozies in his life, but nothing compared to contracting the virus with his family. That was the hardest part for him, not that he got COVID, but that his daughters also got it, and that he couldn’t do anything to protect them once they had it.
The good news is that his daughters had very mild symptoms, as many young children do, but he and his wife got hit pretty hard.
He said that he and his family were relentless about safety measures and doing everything they could to “do the right thing” but they still ended up contracting it when family friends came to visit their home.
He said “you just never know” who it, and while he doesn’t want to discourage people from seeing family and friends, he says you have to be even more disciplined than he imagined with safety to keep the virus from affecting your family.
