As the CMA nominees were announced earlier this week, there also came the announcement that the award show won’t have an audience.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic the CMAs won’t be held in Bridgestone arena as it has in previous years, although it’s unclear where the award show will take place, CEO Sarah Trahern said in a letter to members that essential personnel will only be allowed and tickets will not be available for this year’s show.
Miranda Lambert leads this year’s nominees with seven nominees followed by Luke Combs with six and Maren Morris with five. Justin Bieber is nominated for the first time due to his contribution to “10,000 hours” with Dan + Shay.
The 2020 CMAs will air on Wednesday, November 11th on ABC.
