Many people spend a lot of time and money planning their perfect wedding and then because of COVID have unfortunately had to cancel or postpone their big day.
Being in the wedding business as a wedding DJ myself, most of my brides this year have had to make the tough decision to cancel or postpone. My heart goes out to anyone who has had to make this tough call.
One couple in particular decided they weren’t going to let their wedding day go to waste, and instead decided to give back, Tyler and Melanie, of Ohio, realized they wouldn’t be able to have their wedding with 150 guests, so instead of canceling altogether, or postponing until next year. they held an intimate ceremony with family and decided to cancel the grand festivities and instead bring others in their area joy.
Tyler and Melanie contacted a local shelter that feeds and houses homeless women and children, showed up in their tux and wedding gown, put on some gloves and hairnets, and served the food that would have been at their reception.
Yes, not only did they donate the food that would have been at their reception, but they fully intended on literally serving others with their gesture and serving the food to the residents at the facility as well, in full wedding attire.
What an incredible act of kindness! I love it!
