The Alzheimer’s Association invites you to participate in the Bloomington/Normal Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, September 19th.
The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. Join Cumulus Radio Bloomington in supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 19th with one change – this year, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is everywhere, on every sidewalk, track and trail!
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel the mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.
Walk organizers are keeping your health and safety at the top of their priority list, so this year’s event won’t be a large in-person gathering. Instead, we invite you to walk in your community because we are still walking towards the same thing: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
Schedule of Events on Saturday, September 19th:
- 9:30am – Watch the Opening and Promise Garden Ceremony online
- 10:00am – Walk in your neighborhood
- 9:00am – 2:00pm – Experience the view-only planted Promise Garden at Heartland Community College
