Well, in the new trailer for Saved By The Bell, the caffeine pills are the most important guest star, as student Daisy tells Mac Morris (yep, Zack and Kelly’s son) that she has “way too much on her plate”. Enter grown up Jesse Spanno, Principal at the school, who has a warning for the kids based on her own life experiences as a teen (always a teaching moment with SBTB), “At first, they’re so exciting, and then, it gets even more exciting. But after that it gets so scary, and in the end you ruin your girl group’s shot at a recording contract!”

I am SCREAMING that Saved By The Bell brought back the caffeine pill joke, it’s definitely one of the most memorable and talked about moments from the original, and paying respect to the show from the 90’s is what I’m most looking forward to, other than seeing Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski together again, of course! Yes, they are still promising that they both have recurring roles, even though we haven’t seen them in either of the trailers. Why is that? Well, they haven’t officially been able to shoot any scenes yet. Mark Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen were about a week away from shooting when the pandemic hit and production had to be shut down. That also means, that we still don’t know WHEN the release date of the present day Bayside sequel will hit Peacock.

I can’t wait to see what other scenes from the original 90’s teen sitcom are going to sneak into episodes of the reboot.
