In a decision I think we all saw coming, both District 87 and Unit 5 have reversed the decision for the fall semester and the school year will start from home for students.
Earlier, the decision was for families to have a choice of either in person or remote learning for the entire fall semester, but both districts said that plans have changed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and the recent rise in COVID cases.
Both districts said they will look at things in October to re-evaluate the plan of action, but for Fall 2020, all students will start the school year e-learning from home.
