Randy Travis is back with new music…well, kind of!

Randy just released a new single called “Fool’s Love Affair” today, which also marks the anniversary of the release of his debut single 35 years ago, “On The Other Hand,” so it’s kind of a full circle moment for him.

There is also a great story behind it! Randy actually recorded the song back in the 80’s after he was signed to a publishing deal, and recently found the demo when he was cleaning his office.

As you know, Randy suffered a stroke in July 2013, which has significantly affected his ability to talk and sing, but his love for music has remained strong. He has continued with his physical therapy over the years, and made many improvements in his mobility, speaking, and singing. Although the song isn’t newly recorded, it’s still amazing to hear a new song from Randy, and the classic sound is very much welcomed by fans!
